We stumbled upon a hidden gem in an onsen town, located next to a beautiful stream and surrounded by mountains. the rooms were slightly dated but clean, and featured breathtaking views of the greenery and nearby Koorogi and Kurotani bridges. the onsen was excellent, with both indoor and outdoor pools and a sauna, and the hotel staff were courteous and eager to assist us with local recommendations. Although the breakfast was not impressive, we enjoyed dining at the reasonably priced hotel restaurant and exploring the charming tea shop by the small waterfall along the stream. Only the limited shuttle bus service left us wishing for more transportation options.

Great location near Kakusenkei gorge/river. Lovely walk by the river. Good indoor and outdoor onsen. Ample bath stalls and vanity area. Nice touches like hot/cold water/tea after onsen. Convenient small shopping street nearby. Table tennis available for rental. Great winter price.
Nothing, no complaints at all.

Just by the river, this hotel's location is great for walks by the river’s edge. The onsen has a nice variety of indoor and outdoor baths, with ample bath stalls and vanity areas. Staff are courteous and helpful with recommendations for places to eat, and the Korean BBQ place 200m from the hotel is good.
Nothing at all.

The hot springs were amazing and it was nice to soak in the indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel's location by the river was perfect for taking a relaxing walk along the water. Plus, the free shuttle bus to the train station was really helpful and convenient.
The place itself was a bit shabby and it didn't seem like they put much effort into the upkeep. The room was outdated, and the wallpaper was peeling.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, right by a beautiful stream and surrounded by lush greenery. We enjoyed taking leisurely walks along the river, taking in the serene atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was outstanding, from the quick and efficient housekeeping service to the friendly and accommodating restaurant staff. Our room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a comfortable sitting area and an in-room safe. We also appreciated the free toiletries, electric kettle, and flat-screen TV provided in our room. The hotel's dining restaurant and bar/lounge area were also top-notch, providing us with delicious meals and a cozy atmosphere. The free Wi-Fi and car park were additional bonuses that added to our overall positive experience.
We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the river. We enjoyed taking a lovely walk down the river, and the onsen, indoor, and outdoor bath were great. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of bath stalls and the vanity area with nice touches like the option of having hot or cold water/tea after the onsen. the hotel offered a shuttle bus from and to the train station which was a considerable bonus.
On the flip side, the room was a bit dated, and the carpet could use a facelift. We would have loved to have comfortable mattresses and pillows and a reliable wi-fi throughout the room.
